This has come barely a few days after an impromptu visit by the village headsmen who required to know how the mosquito nets are being used by the residents only to realize that they are not used in the right way.

For instance, in some homesteads the nets were used to construct chicken houses, making of vegetable gardens and in other homes they were not utilised as members slept without using the mosquito nets.

Speaking in a community gathering yesterday, the assistant chief of Kiogoro sub-location, Naftal Ntabo said that the government through the ministry of health had provided nets to each household as a way of preventing the deadly malaria disease which is so rampant especially during the rainy season.

The administrator urged the residents to use the nets responsibly since they are approaching the rainy season when malaria is prone whereby each individual is required to sleep under a treated mosquito net.
