“I am urging you good people of Kisii County to ensure you engage the county government through petitions over various issues which you feel are not done right, instead of staging public street demonstrations against my government,” stated Ongwae.

On poor public participation on matters budgetary process and development programmes, the governor assured members of the public that his administration will streamline its communication strategy, and ensure groups and stakeholders have been reached and brought on board to enhance efficient public participation in all issues affecting the area residents.
