The Central Organisation for Trade Unions (Cotu) has told the Jubilee government to use the 'tyranny of numbers' in Parliament to fight corruption that has now gripped the country.
In a press release on Sunday October 31, Cotu Deputy Secretary General Benson Okwaro said it was inappropriate for the government to complain about corruption while they had huge numbers in Parliament and could be used to fight in the country.
"Jubilee boasts of the tyranny of numbers in Parliament. President Uhuru Kenyatta should therefore use the numbers to institute action against those implicated In corruption scandals in the country. It is inappropriate for the President to say he has done his part while corruption cases remain unsolved," said Okwaro.
Okwaro also criticised Deputy President William Ruto of being in the forefront of shielding the government once it was implicated in corruption scandals.
He called on Ruto to let investigations be done and the culprits nabbed since they were individuals working for the government.
However, COTU said it would be supportive of all government projects aimed at uplifting the livelihoods of the people.
