USIU recorded their second straight win this weekend by beating Amira Sailors 2-1 in their ladies hockey premier league match played Sunday at the City Park stadium.
The win comes just a day after USIU defeated University of Nairobi 1-0 in another premier league match played at the same venue.
After collecting maximum points against University of Nairobi Saturday, USIU ladies were again at their very best as they again managed to edge Amira Sailors in their second hockey premier league match of the weekend today at the City Park stadium.
A goalless first quarter saw the two sides come into the second quarter hungry for goals and it was Amira Sailors who took in the 24th minute through Yvette Nyandong.
Two minutes later USIU were back on level terms thanks to Rhoda Kuria and maximum points were sealed in the 28th minute through Florence Karanja as the match went to half time USIU leading 2-1.
