An Eldoret court on Monday dropped a rape case against two security guards of Moi University.
The director of Public Prosecution recommended the withdrawal due to insufficient evidence to prosecute the guards.
The two guards were accused of raping a female student at the university.
The prosecution told the court that the victim did not prove that she was raped by the guards.
The court further heard that the complainant failed to cooperate with police officers who were investigating the rape claims.
In the final ruling, magistrate Charles Obulutsa said the complainant was not sure about the person who raped her.
