Form four leavers who had enrolled for a seven-week youth career and mentorship programme at St. Paul’s University Nakuru Campus will graduate on Thursday.
According to Joyce Viata, St. Paul’s University Nakuru Campus marketing assistant, the programme which began on February 8 seeks to prepare the form four leavers for life outside high school and college.
“The course is meant to avail additional skills that provide them with self-awareness as well as basic life skills for competitive advantage” said Joyce.
The programme, she added, is also expected to add value to the students in their social set up.
“The programme also targets developing students joining directly from high school to respond to the current trends of change at personal and social level.” Adds Joyce.
The Chief Guest for the event to be held at the main campus in Limuru beginning 10.30am will be the St. Paul’s University vice chancellor Prof Joseph Galgalo.
A certificate will be issued upon graduation. This will be the first graduation for the youth career and mentorship programme.
