The Talent Search Show Competition winners from the University are to join Grandpa Records for nurturing.

Speaking on Sunday, Academic Registrar Prof. Philip Owino hailed the Nairobi based music production company for its effort to promote music talents across the country.

Prof. Owino urged other music production industries to join hands and support youths who have phenomenal talents that can sustain them economically.

“I have no proper words to thank Grandpa Records, but they have done us proud by bringing this event to our institution. By taking two of our very own, I think this is a prolific start,” said Prof. Owino.

This comes a day after Grandpa Records presided over a Talent Search Show in the institution that saw two youths who excelled winning a sponsorship to join an academy to nurture their talents and subsequent production by the Nairobi based company.

The Grandpa’s Chief Executive Officer John Rafiga said the Music Producers will be conducting similar events in institutions of higher learning across the country.

“We have come to Kisii for a start. We will be going to other institutions to give hope to young talents as part of our social responsibility,” confirmed Rafiga.
