Kisii University media students have a reason to smile after the institution completed the construction of a modern media studio.
The studio which has been under construction for quite some time has now been fully equipped with modern state of the art equipment including high definition video cameras.
The institution’s Vice-chancellor, Prof John Akama hailed the students for their patience during the construction period stating that the institution’s main aim is to ensure they train professional journalists.
“We now have a modern studio where our students can take their practical. We had to import some of the cameras and that’s why the studio has not been operational for quite some time now,” said Akama.
The institution has employed three technicians to aid in the smooth operation of the studio.
