Eunice Wanjiru, a resident of Kiti and a student in one of the local universities in Nakuru town has spent sleepless nights for last three days making and supplying handmade Valentine cards to her clients.

Wanjiru said she makes the beautiful cards after school.

"My day starts at 5 am. I take an hour making the cards. Then I head to school at 7 am since my classes start at 8 am. In the evening, I go to bed at 2 am,” said the young lady.

She said Valentine cards sell faster unlike Christmas cards. "I am getting orders day and night my phone is always ringing. I think people are trying to avoid the last minute rush,” admitted Wanjiru.

The cards are done on embossed papers; she does the cutting, artistic work as well as the message.

She also does customised messages upon request from clients.

A medium sized card goes for Sh50 while a bigger one goes for Sh100.

The young lady has a message to fellow youth that they too need to work their talents out.

“Talent pays a lot. I wish the young people could realise this and utilise their talents.

From what I have and what I am projecting, I will be able to raise my school fees for the next semester,’’ she revealed.
