Kisii University chairman Nyamira branch Nobert Omote has urged his colleagues in various universities to be extra cautious when driving on major roads and also maintain and foster good morals.

Addressing journalists at Uhuru Gardens in Nyamira town during a candlelight memorial in honour of the six students who died at the weekend in Kisii, Omote urged university students in the country to be extra-cautious in their endeavours.

"My biggest appeal to my fellow students is to be very careful regarding road safety. We should also portray a good image in society," said Omote. 

He also challenged variousvarsity administrations to ensure matters pertaining to students' security are dealt with care.

"The universities should ensure that they come up with a good identification mechanism strategy to help identify students both inside and outside campus," added Omote.
