Maseno University Christian Union students staged a play late last week and went around cleaning fellow students' rooms the whole weekend in order to raise money for orphans.
The play, named 'Dhahabu' and written by one of them, was used as a way to persuade fellow students to do something for the less fortunate in the society.
The project saw Cherry Brierly Children's home in Chulaimbo, Kisumu County full of joy yesterday as the students, under the Creative Ministry of the Christian Union delivered goodies to them.
Venecity Kajuju, the leader of the Creative ministry was all smiles as she thanked fellow students for the contributions.
"I thank all who came to our support, left the comfort of their rooms and spent their Easter at Cherry Brierly. God bless you", she said.
Shoes, clothes, foodstuffs and money among other things were delivered to the management of the Children's' home Sunday evening. The students said that they are prepared to do more as that is the best ministry one can ever have.
"This is the best ministry that everyone can ever have," said Ibrahim adding that personally, that is what he has been called to do and will do more.
