Kitutu Chache North Member of Parliament Jimmy Angwenyi is having sleepless nights after university students in his constituency launched an attack on him.
Addressing the media on Monday, the students' leaders poked holes at the MP's tenure, asking him to account for Sh112m for the financial year 2015/2016 received as CDF yet unaccounted for.
"Any political intimidation from one Jimmy Angwenyi must come to an end. Article 37 of the constitution should be respected at all costs since every person has the right, peaceably and unarmed, to assemble, to demonstrate, to picket, and to present petitions to public authorities," said their leader Steve Junior.
It is alleged that upon hearing of the impending plot by the students, Angwenyi flew home the night before to counter the demonstrations.
The students however promised to take to the streets on Monday till their voice is heard.
