Moi University School of Law has finally trounced the Council of Legal Education (CLE) in a protracted legal battle, leaving the renowned institution of legal education to run its business uninterrupted.
Last year, the CLE had issued a directive to the School of Law to shut down following allegations of inability to offer legal education due to limited facilities in the institution.
The School dragged CLE to court and successful obtained an interim order staying the execution of the closure directive.
"In the court ruling delivered today, the School of Law has been given green light to go on running its programmes uninterrupted, coming as reprieve to students and the entire university at large," the University confirmed through its official website on Monday.
