Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has lashed out at a section of MCAs politicising the vehicle purchase plan saying they are inciters with malicious intentions.
This is after the opposition to the purchase of 72 vehicles for the county administration which will cost Sh 50 million.
Kabogo said that the purchase of the vehicles will greatly help the county government in law enforcement and implementing rules and regulations thus the MCAs should stop politicising the important move.
The county boss who was speaking in Witeithie estate said that he is working on the best interests of the county and any leader who tries to block the purchase of the vehicles is blocking development.
He urged the residents to embrace the development and reject the incitement by the ‘malicious’ leaders.
Kabogog clarified that the vehicles will help boost security in the county since the police will be well equipped with enough resources to fight crime.
He added that grassroots hospitals will greatly benefit from the project since there will be enough vehicles in the region to avoid maternal deaths in various wards.
Kabogo said the MCAs should recheck the interest of the people before jumping into conclusions.
