Origi who currently plays for Norwegian side Lillestrom SK in ineligible to play for the country and has since been dropped from the Harambee stars squad.

While confirming this, Football Kenya Federation CEO Robert Muthomi said the federation has dropped him from the squad because Norway does not allow for dual citizenship.

“He is now not a ‘Kenyan’. We have learnt that when he acquired the citizenship he had to hand in his passport because the country does not allow dual citizenship," Muthomi said.

Kenya will be playing a series of friendly games against Mozambique, Mauritania and Togo.
