Veteran and Laikipia County Senator Godfrey Gitahi Kariuki populary known as GG is dead. 

According to the Nation, Kariuki passed on at a Nairobi Hospital on Friday morning.

He joined politics in 1959.

He served as a minister in the governments of founding president Jomo Kenyatta and retired president Daniel Arap Moi.
