NPSC chairman Johnston Kavuludi says the three months will be enough time for the commission to look into the officers’ performance individually.

He says the commission team will move to Garissa then conclude in Nairobi where they will pitch tent for one month to accommodate all officers who failed to turn up at the regional level due to unavoidable circumstances.

Kavuludi says the commission will then start synthesising the information captured during the vetting exercise to enable them reach at a fair conclusion.

Speaking at Tom Mboya Labour College in Kisumu where the vetting exercise was conducted, the chairman says the score card of each officer vetted will be used to determine their suitability to continue serving in the police force.

The commission managed to vet 105 police officers out of the intended 108 police officers in the region.

The commission heard that one officer was sick and could not appear for the vetting while another one retired before vetting kicked off in Kisumu and the third one had died.
