Tottenham Hotspurs midfielder Victor Wanyama will not be available for play this Saturday when they visit Everton..
According to the club, Wanyama will be out for several weeks after sustaining a knee injury.
He is also expected to miss their encounter against Borussia Dortmund in their first Champions League game of the season next week.
Wanyama was injured while in training and missed the teams last league match against Burnley.
His manager Mauricio Pochettino could gamble new signing Serge Aurier against Everton but chances are slim because the Ivorian will only come back to club duty from national assignment later on Thursday.
"We need to assess (Aurier) because he will arrive this afternoon in a few hours... because he played Tuesday and travelled today to France, Paris, and now he's travelled from France to London," Pochettino told a news conference.
"We need to see how he is. But you can imagine for him it will be very tough to play... We need to assess him today and tomorrow."
