Kenyan international and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Victor Wanyama has returned to the team's training after a long off due to injury.
According to Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino, Wanyama got back to full training and will be available for selection in the next matches.
Wanyama has not appeared for Spurs since their 2-1 loss to Chelsea on August 20 where he sustained a serious knee injury.
The coach revealed that he was part of his side's matchday squad for their Boxing Day match against Southampton although he didn't make to the final list of 18.
They will next play Swansea in their Premier League match on January 2 before facing West Ham at Wembley two days later as AFC Wimbledon line up for another FA Cup duel at Wembley on January 7.
“Victor is going to be ready and now there is a lot of competition in the squad,” said Mauricio. “Now, only Toby is still out. It’s great for the team to be available in such a busy schedule," the coach said.
“Victor was involved in the last game and now we have a lot of players who can be involved and we’ll see. The good news is that he’s training and available for selection," he added.
“He’s always smiling when he’s involved but when he’s not involved or he’s injured, like any player, he’s not happy. It’s been tough for him but that’s football and it happens. You have to be strong.”
