Victor Wanyama shared his perspective on Egypt's prolific forward Mohamed Salah ahead of the Pharaohs' fixture against Uruguay this coming Friday.
Speaking on prime television on Wednesday, the Tottenham player said that Mohamed Salah is a great player who had the potential of matching the prowess of Argentine striker Lionel Messi.
''He is a good player. What he has shown last season, if he can do that next season, he will be up there with Messi and Ronaldo,'' Victor Wanyama said.
His words come as Salah is locked in a vicious struggle to regain his fitness after sustaining a shoulder injury ahead of Egypt's tie against Uruguay.
Wanyama was speaking on Jeff Koinange Live on Wednesday, fielding questions about football from the host, Jeff Koinange.
