Nyali MP Mohammed Ali has expressed his disappointment in Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho, taking their political differences to a different step. The former journalist accused Joho of failing to tackle cases of drug menace in the county, something he said, had affected the youth.According to him, the governor and his family are benefiting from stealing public resources, and fighting him, ever since he was elected lawmaker."They thought this seat was theirs and they don't believe that the poor gave their fellow poor, this seat. Let me say like (Aden) Duale; "this seat does not belong to your mother!". There's no way you'll want to make this Mombasa, your wealth. There's no way you'll seat in a boardroom and say that this man is here, he'll give us sleepless nights. They call me big-headed, eve in boardroom. I'm big headed to drug traffickers," said Moha.Speaking when he toured Kongowea Market this morning to hear the plight of the market traders, Saturday, the Independent MP who sides with ODM (in which Joho is the deputy party leader), Moha said CID officers were sent to arrest him at Parliament buildings, by Abu Joho, Joho's brother."They came and summoned me to appear in their offices on Friday, over issues of August 8, but they realised that I am a lion. I told them I don't want to come on Friday, I am coming today. I told them don't beat around the bush, call Abu if he's the one who sent you."He further asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to leave Joho for him, so as to deal with him. Uhuru and Joho, have occasionally countered each other, politically."This drugs are ending. I am even telling Uhuru Kenyatta to leave this person for me so that I can deal with him," Ali said, amid cheers from the crowd. He expressed disappointment that Kongowea Market had been neglected, by the county government."It's sad despite the market being the major revenue source to the county Government, drainage, hygiene and garbage collection systems Within the market are in a very sorry state," he said.He assured traders at the market, that he would make a follow up to see it regularly cleaned, drainage repaired, market roads renovated and mast lights erected. Click here to watch the video.
