Football lovers across the globe have been waiting for this year’s World Cup for many reasons. Some want to enjoy watching the matches, while others want to bet on their favorite teams.
Before the commencement of World Cups, there have always been animals giving predictions on who will win and who will lose.
On Thursday, before the Russia World Cup opener match between the hosts and Saudi Arabia, a deaf psychic cat (Achilles) was brought to give its predictions.
Achilles was presented at a press conference with two bowls of cat food, one with the Russia flag and the second with the Saudi Arabia flag. The cat, which possesses “psychic” powers predicted Russia to win the match, which was correct.
After 20 seconds of keen sniffing, Achilles decided to eat food from the Russia bowl, which indicated Russia will win.
Eldoret residents were amused with this incidence. Here are their reactions on Twitter to the cat’s prediction:
