Tiaty Member of Parliament Kassait Kamket last week sent a strongly-worded message to President Uhuru Kenyatta, asking him to deal ruthlessly with those involved in the National Youth Service (NYS) scandal in which billions of shillings stolen from public coffers have not been accounted for.
''Those people who are fond of stealing money... Those who stole the NYS money last year are the same one... I want to challenge the president that instead of focusing on the small fish, he should go after the big fish... The one who is known is the chairman of corruption in Kenya.'' MP Kamket said.
It is not clear who the person Kamket is referring to as the chairman of corruption in Kenya.
Kamket also said that the CS ought to have taken responsibility for the mess in NYS that has shocked many Kenyans.
During Waiguru's tenure, the country was treated to shocking revelations of the theft of millions of shillings reportedly stolen in sacks.
