A new video has emerged, accusing Uasin Gishu county governor Jackson Mandago, Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi, and most of the leaders of the Kalenjin community in the North Rift county, of 'hating' people from the Luhya community.
The video doing rounds on social media shows an aspirant, believed to be of the Jubilee Party, questioning why he was not given a certificate, after winning in primaries.
"...not because I am a Kalenjin. If I was a Kalenjin, I would be given a certificate today. 'Lakini kwa sababu mimi ni mluhya.. Sudi leo amesema vizuri kwamba mumepatia Turbo kwa mluhya. Ni kitu gani ambayo imefanya watu wa kaunti hii, wanadharau waluhya usiku na mchana?.." asked the aspirant, as a Jubilee primaries official, and other people present were heard defending themselves.
The 2 mins, 43 sec video further ends, as the aspirant tells the elections officer "I don't want to hear anything from you. You're so tribalistic''. Watch the video here.
ODM Director of Communications, Philip Etale commented on the video, May 1, saying: "Then they want Kenyans to believe they are Democrats... Jubilee practices nepotism everywhere.''
