Speaking during an interview on Citizen TV’s JKL Show, Mutua said that he is ready to work with development-oriented leaders for the sake of his people.

He insisted that he shares cordial relationships with different leaders in the nation, adding that he can work with Gideon, the son of the retired President Daniel Arap Moi.

“Gideon Moi is my friend. I am open to forming alliances, as long as they are aimed at changing Kenya, not acquiring power,” he said.

He also said that he is not joking about his presidential dream, adding that he is in a better position to ascend to power when that time comes.

“People have seen that I am a man of my word. My presidential bid is not a way to get a government position in the future,” he added.

He also asked President Uhuru Kenyatta not to give up on the war against corrupt leaders in the nation, adding that he is ready to support the head of state on the same.

“There has to be no mercy for those who have stolen public funds," he said.
