On Tuesday, herders discovered a ballot box for the competing Turkana governor's in bush near Napeililim junction along Lodwar-Kakuma highway.
According to reports the ballot box was empty and sealed but after examination it was discovered that there was a hole at the bottom.
The herders informed the County Jubilee Party officials who assured them that there were no ballot papers in the box.
James Kuya who is the County Party Chairman believes that the hole was large enough for someone to have been able to remove ballot papers from the box.
“All ballot boxes and other materials used in the elections process must be currently in the safe custody of the State. Why is there no one responsible for this ballot box here in Turkana seven days after elections?” asked Mr Kuya as reported by the Daily Nation.
He added that leaders in the Jubilee coalition were not satisfied with the way the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) conducted the electoral process.
