Police officers, Thursday disrupted a political rally organised by ODM party leaders, in Kinango, Kwale county.

Teargas was lobbed all over, forcing participants to flee, immediately it was heard that Mombasa governor Ali Hassan Joho was almost landing, on his helicopter.

An aerial video footage showed locals fleeing from the venue, for their dear lives, as police lobbed teargas, preventing the ODM party leader from landing.

Joho who was accompanied by his Kiifi counterpart Amason Kingi, were forced to cancel the meeting and turn back, since they could not find secure place to land.

According to media reports, the police were acting on orders from their superiors.

Joho has been on the receiving end following his criricsim against the Jubilee government.

He has occasionally been blocked from attending ODM rallies and some government events in the Coast.
