The National Super Alliance (NASA) has once again claimed that President Uhuru Kenyatta's Jubilee administration is planning to use audacious plots to subvert the August 8, elections.
Speaking on Friday at a press conference with journalists, NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga and his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka mentioned how Jubilee is working with the military to ensure they remain in power.
"We have received information and concrete evidence of an audacious plan how the Jubilee administration and top military commanders have put in place to use force and subvert next month elections with a rigged outcome. The plan is to hand over power to President Uhuru Kenyatta by completely illicit and unconstitutional means," said Kalonzo.
The NASA leaders further claimed ways in which the military is being trained to ensure their plans to subvert the elections works out.
"The plans include cutting off power and water, and the militarily isolating settlements such as Mathare and Kibera on election day possibly on the pretext of containing the spread of cholera," said Kalonzo.
"Two hundred and twenty-six new soldiers are being trained at the Mariakani barracks to be deployed on this mission which is how to cut off power and water in the Kibera and Mathare slums and keep people out of the city center," he said.
"They are planning to transport ballot papers to rural areas and register telephone lines in the names of dead soldiers," he added.
The NASA leaders promised to share the information with local and international election observers, members of the diplomatic family based in Nairobi and also the media.
