Nairobi senator Mike Sonko is on spot, following a video doing rounds on social media that allegedly shows him watching as Jubilee Party supporters are 'bribed' to attend a rally.
Unconfirmed reports said some Jubilee party members were bribing the locals in Mombasa to attend the Tononoka rally on Sunday, as the video shows.
The rally was attended by top Jubilee leaders led by President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto.
Sonko who is a Jubilee Senator is seen in the video wearing a white Muslim hat and a 'greenish' long shirt on top of a black and white t-shirt.
At the beginning of the 1 min 15 sec video, Sonko is seen moving from right to left, where people were being issued with the monies, probably to oversee the exercise.
Some women are seen folding their hands from the crowd, entering a certain gated area, after receiving the monies, Jubilee party branded t-shirts and toy flags.
However, it is not yet clear which event were the persons going to attend, date, and time, and if they were Jubilee Party supporters.
It is also not clear if they were being bribed with money, since money could no be seen clearly, in the video.
By the time of this publication, the senator was yet to comment on the video, as per his social media posts.
