National Super Alliance (Nasa) critic, Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has differed with National Assembly Majority Leader, Aden Duale.

This is after Kuria endorsed Kennedy Musyoka, son to Nasa presidential running mate, Kalonzo Musyoka, for the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA), post.

Duale had opposed Kennedy, saying Kalonzo's Wiper party, was favouring him, and was unqualified. He asked the party to withdraw Kennedy from the list of EALA nominees, and replace him with another name.

However, Kuria said this was uncalled for, and Kennedy deserved the chance just like any other person.

"I want to express my support for Kennedy Musyoka. When his name comes up for the EALA in the National Assembly, I will vote for him and support his candidature," Kuria said.

"So many Kenyans are denied the opportunities because they are not from well-known families. That is very wrong. But it is equally wrong, to deny any Kenyan an opportunity simply because they are from known families," Kuria added, Saturday.

Addressing the press, the Jubilee lawmaker maintained that Jubilee MPs who opposed Kenney's candidature, did so at a personal level.

"Deuteronomy 24:16 - The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin."

"I have unequivocally endorsed the candidature of Kennedy Kalonzo Musyoka for the East African Legislative Assembly. I think its totally wrong for the ODM wing in Nasa to deny Kennedy what he deserves simply because he is son to Kalonzo Musyoka. I will vote for him next week. And no one should even dream of postponing EALA elections to the next parliament," Kuria said, June 10, 2017.
