Photo/PSCU]President Uhuru Kenyatta has criticised Turkana governor Joseph Nanok, saying the arid county had little to show for more than Sh40 billion of devolved funds disbursed over the last four years. He said the ODM-led county was a shameful example of poor service delivery to Kenyans. He expressed his anger, when the ODM vice chairman warned that the government was taking advantage of Turkana residents, by failing to ensure they benefit from oil being extracted in the region.Nanok demanded that residents should benefit first, before the oil is transported from the area.He also warned that Jubilee government had sidelined the County, leaving residents to lavish in hunger, insecurity and drought. However, angry Kenyatta took a swipe at the governor, saying he should start cooperating with the governmnet. He warned that Nanok should stop perceiving the region as an Opposition zone, since Jubilee would win, with or without Turkana votes. Here is the link to part of the video, courtesy of K24 television.http://www.kenya-today.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/100.mp4?_=1Uhuru was speaking when he toured Lodwar, Wednesday, alongside his deputy William Ruto. Also present was area senator John Munyes who defected to Jubilee, from Moses Wetangula's Ford Kenya.
