Chaos erupted in Sabatia, Vihiga county when Cord leader Raila Odinga made a stop on Monday during his tour of Western Kenya.
Odinga was heckled by pro- Musalia Mudavadi supporters who subscribe to the Amani coalition leader. They chanted slogans asking Raila to support Mudavadi's presidential ambitions.
They also carried placards inscribed 'Vihiga ni ANC, ANC in Vihiga.'
While on their protest, the Mudavadi supporters engaged in a scuffle with Odinga's security team that was trying to clear the road. The move to clear the road led to roughing up of the hecklers with their posters torn apart.
Raila had to cut short his address to advice his security team to stop the confrontation with the locals.
