Nairobi senator, Mike Mbuvi Sonko is now a grandfather.
This is after his daughter, Saumu, delivered a baby girl, Wednesday.
Saumu and her baby daddy had ended their relationship, but reports say, he supported her emotionally during labour.
Benson Gatu and Saumu reportedly met at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and technology, Karen campus.
They are yet to publicly reveal the name of their daughter.
During an interview about the matter, Sonko expressed emotions, saying he loved the daughter, despite getting a child out of wedlock.
''I love my daughter so very much. She's everything to me. She has made me a grandfather but it is normal. This things happen daily. I got her while in form three and everything is normal,'' Sonko said, Friday.
He later warned bloggers against spreading false rumours about her daughter.
