Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto may suit the proverbial character of a cat with nine lives after going aginst the political tide in his Rift Valley back yard but still somehow remained relevant to the electorate.
Ruto who decamped from Jubilee Party and was once bosom friends with Deputy President William Ruto pulled out to form the Chama Cha Cha Mashinani(CCM) in an area dominated by Jubilee.
Now Ruto has more to rejoice about after Jubilee's Nakuru county gubernatorial aspirant Lee Kinyanjui praised his performance and even endorsed his reelection bid.
"During the countrywide doctors strike, it is only in Bomet county that doctors were not on strike courtesy of the good relationship between the the workers and their governor Isaac Ruto," said Kinyanjui.
