On Monday morning, Chief Justice David Maraga and IEBC top counsel Paul Muite were engaged in a battle of legal minds when Maraga tried to tutor the senior counsel at the Supreme Court.
Muite was representing IEBC chairman Wafula chebukati who sought the direction of the highest court in the land on what he should do on matters regarding errors on Form 34Bs.
Maraga insisted that Muite should read Election Act section 39 1(c) but the senior counsel insisted he was conversant with the contents of the law but he finally accepted to read it a loud.
Muite however, did not take the comments from Maraga lightly and hit out on the CJ and his bench saying they are the ones who gave a ruling that has caused confusion.
