On 13 December 2016, NASA leader Raila Odinga found himself in an awkward position after he mistook one of the Wiper delegates to former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka's wife.
Raila was forced to apologize after the mistake.
While addressing the Wiper National Delegates Congress held at the Kasarani Gymnasium, Raila heaped praises to Kalonzo’s wife, Pauline Musyoka only to realize that she was not around.
“Honorable Kalonzo Musyoka and his wife who is here have done a good job. Congratulation mama for a good job,” Raila said.
Last year, the Kamba political kingpin took a break from the political scene to attend to his wife who had been admitted in one of the Germany clinics.
The former Vice President spent several months with the wife where she was undergoing treatment before he flew back. During his stay in Germany, the party lost of the strongest members Former Kitui West MP Francis Nyenze.
The late lawmaker died after a long illness.
During his swearing in as an MP, Nyenze arrived in parliament with a tank of oxygen.
Kenyans from different factions kept wishing him quick recovery until his demise.
