He said they should not allow themselves fight because of politicians, as the country heads to the August 8, elections.

Addressing a crowd in the lake region, during a roadside rally, the president asked them to warn politicians inciting violence, saying they should first, fight themselves, before asking anyone to fight for them.

"Do not fight because of a politician. They ask you to fight each other, and then they board vehicles and planes, with their families, to wherever they want, leaving you in trouble. If they want you to fight, ask them to let their children fight each other first,'' Uhuru said.

He asked them to listen to politicians with development records. Watch the video as he addressed, here.

Uhuru was warmly received in the county, as he presided over the 58th Kenya National Drama Festival at Kisumu State Lodge, Tuesday.
