President Uhuru Kenyatta has told off NASA leader Raila Odinga to steer away from making remarks that belittle the IEBC.
Uhuru told Raila he does not have any legal authority to dictate what the commission does regarding the date for the repeat elections.
The president said that since Raila took them (Jubilee) to courts, he also has to leave the law to take its course.
"You are powerless, just like I am, to give (IEBC) directions to do this and that," the president said.
"Go and prepare for elections. And stop the issue of threatening Kenyans. Every time you wake up, you are threatening Kenyans," he added.
"Do not see some of us quiet and htink you have intimidated us. Kenyans are not easily intimidated."
He added that the Constitution has vested independent powers with the IEBC and that it is only them to decide the date of the repeat polls without being coerced.
