St. Joseph's TTC in Majengo, Vihiga County. [Photo|Vihiga News]St. Joseph's TTC in Majengo, Vihiga County is on the spot again after the administration reportedly sent home 25 second-year students under unclear circumstances. The students are said not to have been registered for allegedly not meeting the minimum requirements for admission to undertake a certificate course in Primary Teacher Education - PTE.The students who were scheduled to take their KNEC examinations in July, are still confused as they all claim to have met the minimum requirements which is grade C (plain) in KCSE.According to one of the institution's instructors who spoke on condition of anonymity, the management took the action due to poor performance in the last two years where they had more than 80 per cent of students with fail. The instructor said the action was taken to avoid embracement that was leading to low intakes adding that the 25 were dropped after scoring least points in the mid-course exams last year.Parents and guardians of the affected students are now seeking legal avenues to resolve the stalemate as efforts to reach an agreement with the institution's management proved futile.
