Vihiga United widened their lead with a four-point gap at the helm of the National Super League (NSL) after beating Wazito 1-0 in a match played at the Mumias Complex over the weekend.
Vihiga lie on top of the table with 54 points, four ahead of second-placed Nairobi Stima.
Clyde Senaji's penalty kick goal in the 16th minute was all the hosts needed to sink the dreams of Wazito.
In other matches, Palos FC of Kisumu dismissed Agro Chemicals FC 2-0 at the Moi Stadium Kisumu.
