[Photo|Vihiga United FC]Vihiga United FC on Monday unveiled its KPL 2018 season team and technical bench maintaining Edward Manoah as the head coach. In a ceremony presided over by Vihiga County Deputy Governor Dr. Patrick Saisi, Vihiga United's president Indimuli Kahi expressed his confidence in the boys who had performed fairly well in their build up matches in Nakuru over the weekend where they only conceded one goal against 15.He further stated that the Executive Committee - EC saw it fit to maintain all the team's technicians led by head coach Manoah for their sterling performance in the second tier league where the team emerged champions.In the new team, a total of 18 players have been maintained bringing on board 13 new players among them their former strikers Mike Isabwa from Kariobangi Sharks FCand Vincent Wanda from embattled Kisumu Palos.Manoah said he did not go for big names in his signing but instead focused much on upcoming talents, and further assured United fans that he would not disappoint them.Other players who have joined the Vihiga County sponsored aide include;Andrew Murunga from Homeboyz FC, goal keepers Godfrey Oputi from Kisumu Palos, Ali Kesi from Homeboyz, Fernandes Terra former FC Talanta captain, Victor Ayugi from KCB, William Oricho from Kibera Black Stars. Others include Wycliffe Kabaji from Chavakali High School, Vincent Kagasi from Chango High School and Daudi Saisi from Nyang'ori High School on development programme. The team has however sent out Clyde Senaji and Kelvin Muhanji on loan due to their school and work commitments.
