Vihiga United and Wazito FC are now the new entrants in the Kenya Premier League (KPL).
The two teams got the two KPL automatic promotions slots on Saturday, after registering wins in their last matches of the National Super League (NSL) this season.
Vihiga United beat Ushuru FC 1-0 in a match played at the Mumias Sports Complex in Kakamega County courtesy of Bernard Ochieng’s first half goal, while Wazito FC thrashed Police FC 5-2 at the Narok County Stadium.
United under Coach Edward Manoah finished NSL with 90 points same as Frank Ouna coached Wazito FC, but Ouna’s side has an inferior goal difference.
Apart from being promoted, Vihiga United are also the 2017 NSL champions.
The two teams will now replace Western Stima and Muhoroni Youth. Stima and Muhoroni were relegated from KPL last weekend.
