Wazito FC and Vihiga United have secured promotion to the 2018 Sportpesa Premier League after winning their final matches.
Wazito defeated Kenya Police, while Vihiga United beat Ushuru FC in their last National Super League (NSL) matches of the season played Saturday afternoon.
Bernard Ochieng’s 34th-minute goal against Ushuru FC at the Mumias Complex secured qualification for Vihiga United to finish top of the Super League.
Wazito, on the other hand, thrashed Police 5-2 in Narok with Kennedy Ayako and Dennis Gicheru each scoring a brace while Zachary Gathu was also on the score sheet.
The win took Wazito’s point tally to 80 points the same as Vihiga but who have a superior goal difference.
Ushuru is third and will have to settle for a play-off against Thika United, who finished at position 16 in the Sportpesa Premier League.
Mosca FC and Agro Chemical FC have been relegated after finishing in the bottom two positions with 15 and 28 points respectively and will now drop to the FKF Division One League in 2018.
Kangemi AllStars and Kakamega High School who topped FKF Division One league will replace the two teams in the Super League.
