The incident which took place on Wednesday left many amused but the owner of the cow, Norah Makaka, expressed no regrets following the scenario despite criticism from people visiting her home who view it as a curse.

According to Norah, she immediately consulted a veterinary doctor for advice after the black color calf was born, who in turn told her the calf was normal.

"I see no difference between this calf and a human being with a physically challenged child. This is not a reason to dispose or kill what God had provided," Norah said.

She added, "This may also be a blessing since no such calf has been seen in this region."

The calf is the first born of a cow the family raised from another brown cow still in her compound.
