East Asembo location Chief, Erick Okal said the deceased, Elias Obayo is said to have set his younger brother Richard Omondi’s house ablaze, following domestic wrangles.

He said Obayo had attempted to burn that same house on Christmas day last year, after he was caught and beaten up before accomplishing his mission.

The Chief however said Obayo finally managed to burn down the house with everything inside it, during Wednesday’s incident.

According to the chief, the move irritated members of the public, who descended on him with kicks and blows as others pelted him with stones to death.

The administrator, who confirmed the ill fated incident, revealed that the body of the deceased has since been taken to Madiany sub-county hospital mortuary to await postmortem.

He however warned members of the public to desist from taking the law into their hands, saying suspects should always be handed over to the police whenever they are arrested.

“I want to warn the locals to stop this habit of taking law into their hands, let them know that its an offence too,” He warned.
