A woman who has been married for nine years was on Wednesday sent back to her parents home for failing to give birth.
This happened in Ibeno ward in Nyaribari Chache constituency, Kisii County.
Led by John Onyuri who is herr brother in law, the villagers said the lady was infertile and their was no need he goes on living with her husband.
"For all the she has been staying with her husband she has never been preganant. We now want our brother to get another wife," he said.
The woman's husband only identified as Kebati said he had sired children outside wedlock and was wondering why the wife was not getting pregnant.
"I tried to pursuade my wife to allow me marry another wife but she totally disagreed. That is when I asked villagers to help me send her away," he said.
The lady was the summoned by elders before they kicked her out of the village for being rude to them.
Contacted the woman said that her husband will never see peace until they allow her back.
"Even if he gets another wife he will still not make her pregnant because the problem is within the family," she said.
