Queries over Uasin Gishu County governor Jackson Mandago's alleged involvement with the Opposition, Nasa, continue, after Opposition leaders endorsed him.

Nasa asked residents to vote for him, against his rival Bundotich Buzeki, an independent candidate.

However, things seem to be going the 'Nasa way' after Mandago and Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi, both Jubilee Party leaders, endorsed an ODM (Nasa) candidate, for the Langas ward MCA seat, Friday.

The two publicly said things are not the same again, hence their decision to betray their party and endorsed Charlse Okumu, agaisnt incumbent Francis Muya of Jubilee.

Mandago went ahead, using Nasa campaign phrase "Vindu Vichenjanga" (things change), noting that Langas ward had decided.

"Here at Langas, we say vindu vichenjanga. Yes vindu vichenjanga. We want to tell them that on the last day, all tress will be very slippery for them. Things are not the same," said Mandago, amid cheers from the crowd.

Speaking after endorsing Okumu, Sudi defended Mandago's endorsement, saying Nasa made no wrong thing for declaring support for him.

"I'm hearing people lament why Nasa endorsed Mandago. Was there anything wrong with it? No! Nasa have no candidate in Uasin Gishu and they saw Mandago is a working governor," he told supporters.

He father asked them to ensure they give Jubilee Party leader President Uhuru Kenyatta, 'some' votes, on August 8.

"Will you leave Jubilee just like that? Please give President Uhuru some votes," said Sudi.

The two have always been staunch allies of DP William Ruto.
