At least two men were last week attacked, injured and killed by their lovers.
Young Women Democrats Empowerment Programs Nyanza region director Esnas Nyaramba said the violence ratio is equal to more women becoming violent.
"Women have become more violent than men. Men have been attacked, injured and even killed. Some men who have been attacked shy away from reporting to police and this is alarming because we fear more men will be killed by women," said Nyaramba.
He added that there is need for special attention on the boy child.
"Leaders have prioritised defending girl child rights while rights for the boy child have been ignored. It is time leaders should step up and defend the rights of boys and girls equally without discrimination," he said.
Nyaramba urged county government to sensitise locals on the need to live in peace and harmony.
