Harambee Stars goalkeeper Patrick Matasi (Photo/standardmedia.com).In form Harambee Stars goalkeeper Patrick Matasi's planned trials in Turkey has been put off following a hitches that marred the processing of his visa.A disappointed Matasi revealed on Tuesday that the move had failed to materialize following the confusion over his travel documents after a wrong copy of his visa was submitted to his hosts leading to the cancellation of the trials."The reason I have not flown oit is because of visa issues.I was expected to send a soft copy of my visa and not the hard copy," the Posta Rangers shot stopper said."But I am optimistic of putting on a good show when I finally land my opportunity and I'm sure my determination will go a long way in boosting my chance," he added.The former AFC Leopards custodian was instrumental for Harambee Stars during the recently held Cecafa senior challenge tourney where he saved three penalties from Zanzibar opponents to help Stars bag their seventh regional title.He however remains committed to his Rangers club promising to fight for his place amid stiff competition from the rookie custodians in the premier league side."Nobody is assured of a starting place in this club and with pre-season shaping up,all players are focussed on making it to the first squad.The coach is adamant that hard work and commitment remain crucial and this has heightened level of competition in the team," he said.
