Nine months after they were elected, there are Members of Parliament (MPs) who are yet to make their maiden speech in the National Assembly. Some of the MPs in the list are most notable as they are the loudest in public. The list of forty-nine MPs was revealed by Mzalendo.com an online platform that keeps tabs on the performance of MPs in the House plenary. In the list is outspoken Jubilee legislator Oscar Sudi who represents Kapseret constituency in Uasin Gishu county. The revelation comes as the MP has recently been making headlines on public on politics especially on 2022 as he his a strong supporter of Deputy President William Ruto. Other Rift Valley MPs included in the list of those who have never spoken in Parliament are Joseph Tonui (Kuresoi), Leonard Yegon (Konoin), Florence Koskei (Kericho), Hillary Kosgei (Kipkelion), Joyce Korir (Bomet), Gideon Mikutai (Cheplaungu),  Jane Jepkorir (Elgeyo Mrakwet county), Elexander Kimutai (Emgwen) and Gladwell Cheruiyot (Baringo county). The National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi was unhappy that some MPs were busy boasting about their achievements in the House when in reality, they had done the complete opposite.“You will even hear others telling their constituents they have passed very good Bills yet the individuals making such statements do not attend sessions to contribute to the legislation they are talking about," Muturi said as quoted by Mzalendo.com.
